Skiing in the Monts Jura
The Monts Jura ski area brings together four sites: Lélex-Crozet, Mijoux-La Faucille, Menthières and La Vattay-Valserine for cross-country skiing. Lélex-Crozet is the largest alpine area, with about 21 km of pistes and the Fierney gondola from Crozet.
Mijoux-La Faucille offers some fifteen kilometres of pistes between 1,000 and 1,550 metres, with green, blue, red and one black run. Ski shuttles link the different sites.
La Faucille and La Dôle, over the Alps
The Col de la Faucille is said to offer one of the finest panoramas in Europe: on a clear day the view stretches across the Geneva basin, Lake Geneva and the Mont Blanc massif.
On the Swiss side, La Dôle and its white dome rise to 1,677 metres. In summer you can hike up for one of the best views in the Vaud Jura over the lake and the Alps.
